My goodness! How long can I stand this thread?!
Andrew Nowicki scripsit:
<< I believe that any language is merely a tool that
should be discarded when a better tool is found.>>
Takie wariatstwo! Language is not just a tool! It's a whole universe, a
precious container and message of valuable cultural richness!
<< Some spoken languages are
better than other spoken languages.>>
Sounds Nazi. It means "some people are better than other (because they are
more intelligent, smarter, their language can express rich philosophic
categories)".
<<My intuition tells me that
the perfect language...>>
ALL THE LANGUAGES ARE PERFECT!
Each of them gives a unique picture of the world!
Every "flaw" of a lnaguage is, actually, a motive force for intellectual
reserch of the speaker. We learn to know about the world and, finally, G-d
Himself by means of language. Don't you know (even if it's just a spiritual
lesson for us), that the world was created by divine utterance?!
