Haw :)
>Part of the reason it's so long is you use some long affixes, like >-caððy for accusative and -tasty for past.
Argh, those are the old word separators (which, ah, don't actually get separated). -tas is past, -ca is accusative. For the "old form" "ðuhancaððydisuiddensyruktanterellatastyupsallasahai" the most complete separation could be *"ðuhan ca ðy di Suidden sy ruk tan terel a tas ty uppsala sa hai." but that's not done; at worst it'd be "ðuhan caðy di Suidensy ruk tan terella tasty upsala sa hai." or the usual "ðuhancaððy disuiddensy ruktanterellatasty upsallasahai." The {ðy}, {ty}, {sy}, etc. were used to mark the end of word units [?] before spaces were invented. [This all gets unhinged later when the mennteras start pronouncing them.] So it's not the length but the multiplicity! [?] *Muke! (Learning a lot but still not very bright!) (who didn't notice it said "tasty" till you posted that)
