I like rhyming, but I detest couplets. They sound trite, like jingles in
commercials. I have to have ABAB rhyming patterns.
Then again, I did write a poem with each stanza in aa/bcbc/C/A pattern.
Here's the first stanza:
"Manic depression makes an impression.
Be bold, be brief, be cold, you're chief.
That's no way to conquer your grief.
When did your job turn to obsession?"
I sense a horrible translation exercise...*shudders*
