Either my speech is seriously disordered, or my hearing has totally
deteriorated after all these years, or I've forgotten everything I ever
learned in phonetics class....But: Hardly any of the samples at that site
matched what I say, or think I'm saying. Perhaps Time and/or the IPA have
marched on, leaving me far behind.
Actually, the "Chicago" samples came closest, but weren't given for many
examples; and I don't agree with all of them in any case. Grrr.
My $.02........
If I ever get over my current bout of inertia, I'll record my vowels.
