Absolutely. What "causes" me to be attracted to women does not necessarily
have anything to do with what causes another man or woman to do so.
Furthermore, it doesn't seem too outrageous to suggest that
heterosexuality is the evolutionary standby, while homosexuality is
somehow exceptional and so needs to be "explained" in a way that
heterosexuality does not.
Such an assertion shouldn't be taken as a value judgement, though.
Nonetheless, I've got my asbestos suit on.
