I (think I) pronounce "dust" /d@st/ which is also what I hear in the
Merriaw-Webster wave file at
http://www.m-w.com/cgi-bin/audio.pl?dust0001.wav=dust
So I pronounce "dost" the same as you do, but my "dust" sounds different.
Mainly, I'm just trying to get the hang of the IPA. :) Where are you from?
