Add some more vowels, or length contrast. If you distinguish mid-open
and mid-close (/e/ vs. /E/), and front and back a's (/&/, /A/), you can
have 8 vowels, and if you add a long-short distinction, you can double
that to 16. Add nasality to double it to 32. Heck, include tone and
you can increase it even more.
