Really? It's not a verb of communication that
takes dative of person and accusative of thing?

Yeah. And? Oh - I see. For you, a DO is
requÃred.
Only "sing me" doesn't make sense in Merkin; the
bare dative is regularly used with all those
verbs when a DO is present "sing me a song" =
"sing a song to me", which sounds weird. :S

I'm sure that in Kerno any of those verbs can
postpend a bare dative pronoun, cantami,
ycrivemi, etc. You generally switch to a preverb
and infixed pronoun with DO, though: domcanta yan
gancièn, domecrive yan garta.
