Apparently, old Tagalog had just a, i, and u also.
I'm also working on a language I call Pala, which also has a, i, u:
Iragasikita ku pala - I speak Pala. (hell, i havent barely started on it).
Pala's really an excuse to give that script I was working on something to
practice it with (i have a "cursive" form i've made from the angular
shapes)
