Ok, I'll tell you some more: (I should mention that my languages his heavily edited at the moment, and the changes are many) Teinvard is the gods tongue, an invented language (invented by the semi-gods, Teinur) for the humans. During several thousands of years, the language were static with practically no change at all, thanks to the gods, but when the great conflict arose, fractions were developed, and quickly many dialects evolved. The great conflict ended in what's called "The End of the World", when the creator god, Tein, sent his anger at the world and threw away the semigods from the planet. After that the civilzation was non-existent, and new languages quickly evolved from Teinvard. The beaten humankind collected itself intro tribes, with different dialects of Teinvard. It took a couple of thousands of years before civilization came back, in the country of Tulonia. By an act of the gods (people assume), the complete knowledge of the old language (except the pronounciation, were the tulonians guessed) got into the hands of the tulonians, and they immideately tried to spread the knowledge across the world. Many small tribal languages and dialects vanished when the neo-Teinvard (also called Tulonian) language spread, but some of them remained, and started to "interact" with the language, borrowing words and grammatical rules. So, now I have an ancient tongue of the gods, a sort of proto-language, and several languages derived from it, from different periods of it's development. Teinvard differs quite much from real languages (it was constructed), and isn't always so natural for humans. For example, it lacks the use of pronouns completely, have no irregularities and a minimum of grammatical rules. /Martin "RipperDoc
