Wrt. prices, I think the scales are quite different here: the current
high American prices that were reported in the media seemed, well,
extremely cheap to totally normal. It's more expensive here now, too,
but not by orders of magnitude. The normal price would be around
1.20 EUR/liter ~ 5.80$/gallon for 98 octane. Now it's a bit more,
maybe 1.40 EUR/liter.
