Think of an O written clockwise, starting at the lower left, and finishing
off with a flourish that creates the crossbar by means of a loop. Then if
the writer gets lazy and starts at the middle left, you have the 2.
Actually, that's also the Graffitti glyph to produce "q"; I don't remember
whether I figured it out on my own before I got my Palm III or not :)
