I'm not sure that people would classify them as "interesting", but
Gevey certainly makes its personal pronouns do a lot of work...
Briefly, there are different pronouns for first, second and third
persons in the singular, paucal (your pair) and plural. Extra pronouns
are used to indicate "station" (most are secular, but there also exist
absolute and diminutive forms). And if a speaker or writer insists,
any of these pronouns can include a masculine or feminine prefix.
All of these pronouns get to change their ending according to whether
they are subjects, direct objects, indirect objects or posessives.
Pronouns also get their own cases: reflexive inclusive, reflexive
exclusive and predicate - where a single pronoun can be used to
replace whole phrases or clauses.
And of course, every pronoun gets to demonstrate its status:
inanimate, animate, internal or external.
To sum up, the Gevey native speakers *love* personal pronouns. And
yet, the commonest pronouns are te (I), de (you singular) and ke (he,
she, or it). They only go over the top with the pronouns when they
need to...
