Looks good on the surface, but (at least _this_)
English speakers probably wouldn't understand that
first word as an adjective. They'd understand them as
two nouns together that form a single idea.
Thus, water cooler isn't the same as green stick -
it's not a cooler that's water. It's a single entity
that chills a certain liquid beverage. At best, they
might think of it as a 'cooler of water'.
