The first Pern book i read was _Dragonsdawn_, which is first
chronologically but was written later than the first Pern books, so i
sort of spoiled myself by accident once i started reading some of the
others, never having to wonder "what the heck is 'agenothree'?" or "is
this fantasy or science fiction?" and stuff :-)
