<wry g> Hey, at least that's combinatorics I know how to do. I *suck*
at anything more complex than basic combinatorics/probability.

Yes, that's correct, assuming there are no other constraints on
consonants and vowels. Math(s?) classes always like to give you these
horrendous problems in which the same vowel can only occur twice, or if
you have B then you must have R, or nasty hideous things like that.
Also, I'm using triconsonantal roots in Chevraqis, which you'd think would
get pretty
restrictive, but I *like* quasinatural features, so there are irregular
non-three-consonant words (numbers and colors, though I've only got 'em
in Arakis and haven't "aged" 'em yet), and compounds formed from bits 'n'
pieces of triconsonantal words that aren't themselves triconsonantal. So
if you add random derivational processes and irregularities, you'll
probably never run out of "word space." And heck, even then you could
have homophones and puns and things....

:-) I like diacritics (though I use them very moderately for lack of
excuses to use 'em so far). I just can't always get them to show on
email consistently.
YHL, lame excuse for a math major, but a math major nonetheless
