Oh, bummer. I was hoping you could explain derivative (or what the term would be in English). I'm desperately lost in my Economics class. :(

Oh, thanks. That means I'm not dumb-dumb but just dumb. Dum-dum-da-dey. Tralala. :)

Phew for me then. Pimak can combine any of the consonants, but there can only be two consonants in a row (because of the strict CVC-system). I still don't know if that's because I'm lazy or if it's because I think those clusters look cool. I prefer to think the latter. :) p t k s x m n w l y is the inventory, so I guess the worst thing that could come out is tp or sx [sx]. Not really a problem. Unless [x] is followed by [a] or [u], then it comes out [G] (or rather the voiced *uvular* fric). Horrible example [pasGu]. Yikes! ;)

Hmmm... "Mîs mikipûkwayûmxa, kila ipâlak mîs mitayâlsixûtli, kila tî tîwasiksiyûmli." Looks really nice! But when I try to pronounce it, it really messes up the nice rhythm of Pimak. :´( Come to think of it, the vowel with the circumflex should be short, it's the consonant after it that is long! Maybe that's what the circumflex should mark! Now that's an idea. :) Or perhaps I could just use it to mark primary and secondary stress. The long vowels must be some influence from Swedish. Darnit. :| (I'm really not manic-depressive. :-P )

Well, at least you could assure me that 9.000 was the correct figure, so you can't be that bad. :-P ||| daniel -- "Stop that or I'm going to count to 'blorg'." - Omicronian mother on "Futurama".
