Na, -ng is the ligature used to link two parts of a sentence together. You have "anak ko" - my child, and you have "si Roy" - roy. You also have "Para sa" - for. To me, both sa and -ng are linking the various parts of the sentence together. Sa is indicating who the action is of benefit, and -ng is indicating who is the child of the speaker. That's the best explanation i can think of. Tagalog seems to not like linking "groups" of words without some sort of marker or linker (like adjectives: Magandang bulaklak - beautiful flower)
