released list

I just released the list, because it reached the 100 messages/day limit today.

As always, when this happens, I encourage you to think before posting,
especially when trafic is high.

I periodically receive queries as to why I don't just raise the posting
limit. I don't want to do this because my view of the list includes a
notion of who is coming and going, and whose mail is bouncing because of a
full mailbox. Because of that view of events, the limit will stand.

I'm not soliciting on-list (or off-list) discussion of this issue, just
explaining the way the list is set up.
