Well, only in that here on Earth there ARE no other sentient beings
other than humans. I'd certainly use "someone" for sentient aliens. If
I was talking about Star Trek, I wouldn't call a Vulcan or a Klingon
"something", but rather "someone". Altho I admit that when people are
talking about supposed aliens on Earth, they'll often say "what" not
"who".
