I agree - it sort of leaves us engelangers out of the picture. There are
other conlangers besides artlangers - and possibly not all artlangers
actually bother with concultures.

Yep - I don't know whether I was really sick of English or not when i
created my first conlang around the age of nine or ten. I think I
basically wanted something different & was intrigued at how language worked.
