On the other hand, I really like any text from the 6th-17th centuries. It's just the 18th and 19th century styles I find horrible. Shakespeare's writing, in my opinion, is very good, if a little hard to understand. It's poetic, and just pleasant to read out loud. Anything written in Old English is beautiful automatically, as is Middle English.
