As already indicated, you should look into METAFONT. You may find it a 
little overkill, but if you want to make a font out of your shapes it's 
actually the easiest tool there is, <shameless plug>especially when my 
tutorial at http://metafont.tutorial.free.fr is ready</shameless plug> :))) 
. When the second chapter of my tutorial comes online (soon enough I hope), 
you'll have already all the tools needed to make the shapes you need, and 
will be one lesson away from making a font out of your shapes :)) .
