It will make you understood, but in S and W Yorkshire it will still
be incorrect, for there the words _nowt_ and _owt_ contain a
phoneme that occurs in no words but these two. (The phonetic
realization of the phoneme varies from place to place.) (This
is one of my very small collection of examples of unborrowed
English phonemes that occur in only one or two words.)
