I'll (attempt to) head off YAEPT here, by suggesting you use the same
diphthong as in 'now', whatever that may be in your own lect. AFAIK, that
should make you understood, should you ever need to use the word. Provided
of course that you collocutors internal lexicon contains the word 'nowt'
itself, which I shall leave up to the reader to judge on a case-by-case
basis.
