But its only /t_Sstr/ and spread over two syllables > while strengths has 5 orthographic consonants and is pronounced /striNkTs/ > (in my dialect) also four consonants, but all piled on the end of one > syllable.Odd, I would have "latchstring" with [tSstSr] (because of t/tS/_r) Which is kind of bad on its own. *Muke!
