And what makes a noun masculine or femenine?... I could imagine for a European conculture a chilling wind is northern and a warm wind is western. Al other disctintions would be arbitrary. Would our gender system be arbitrary or logic? I would vote for a logic one but in a twisted way, like sounding, yelling, white, wet and sourronding, and any noun concept that does not fit in any of those categories would be asigning an arbitrary one. And logic does not need to be too physical. River would be sounding reather than wet, and sea would be sourounding, but water would indeed be wet. (my previous gender system was to classificatory... please drop it, but I like the idea of subgenders =) -- Carlos Th
