I have no branches :) I've made left- and right-branching languages, and
I'm not good at
any of them.

I'd use genitive as a general case. But anyway, I don't think the Latin
cases make
"heavy inflection". Propose a case system and we'll talk about it.

I don't know if an analytic language is "un-alien". Probably an alien would
understand Chinese or English before French or German. It's all on the
alien's mind. I know I don't want to have an English or Chinese clone,
not because they are boring, but because I already find English too
familiar,
and Chinese too "neat". I want some high-sounding words!

Any system has bads and goods, OK. Including ours. If you want to watch and
comment, do it -- but we haven't told you so :-)
