DNFTT lol :)

s'okay, trollish types are experts at eliciting
reaction... just as long as you remember not to give
em what they really want once you recognise what's
going on, that someone, either because they are
disturbed or because they're a trickster, is yanking
your chain...

Well, as long as no individuals were used
involuntarily (beyond the ordinary for a war, I mean),
I'd consider it a completely fair tactic... and
especially given that it was that war from which we
get our ultimate rhetorical thread-stopper :P, I'd say
more power to em for any way they could pull a fast
one on the Nazis... I'd think it would be something
for the Navajo to be proud of, really... JMHO...

Well, what that species of troll really wants is to
worm its way into your confidence. Think about it. The
amount of damage they can do is an order of magnitude
greater if some of the Critters have the confidence of
list members, have shared (probably spurious) personal
details to gain trust, even, and are accepted as
legitimate list members. I think the "peacemaker's"
behaviour is only superficially peaceful, and that
especially the choice of lanuage ("sheath swords"?)
suggests a second or third rate List Actor playing a
role...
I'd say _do_ be polite to him. But don't be any more
personal than you have to, and _don't_ trust him, just
in case he's not what he's trying to present himself
as. That sort of neutral attitude towards possible
shills or accomplices I think is a good way to DNFTT
:).
My 2c...
Stephen
