I've been working with the basic sound-set of Chevraqis for a while
simply because I had to generate names (most of which now have to change,
and since fantasy readers apparently can't associate first-last names if
they're not familiar-sounding, I'm probably going to overhaul all the
family names as well for readership considerations). I'm trying for a
slightly more Asian feel, so I do allow myself a few pattern-borrowings
from Korean; since it's an isolate or the next best thing, I figure only
people familiar with Korean will notice, if at all.
Even if I used a generator-program, some words don't *sound* right for
what I want them to mean. Purely subjective. Probably someone will look
at some sample of Chevraqis and go, Yuck! That sounds awful! <G>
