Aroven uses terminal vowels and -VC suffixes for all parts of speech except the subject (although the subject often gets a suffix as well, 'specially if it's plural, or has an article, etc.) and is firmly noun-adjective. The language lies somewhere between SVO and VSO. E.g. SVO: Piidel tinde halka fyarden. (ii =3D i", ee =3D e") child little trips [over a] piece of wood. VSO: In halka piidel tinde. Happens-that trips child little. =20 In my language, adjective-noun seems very awkward, so I'm wondering how you came to the above conclusion! Inversion is possible but alters the meaning somewhat: Piidel tinde halka =3D=3D a kid who is little trips (is tripping) Tindye piidel halka =3D=3D a (little-kid) trips. The "little" is in this case especially essential to the subject. =20 Josh =20 _/_/ _/_/ _/_/_/_/ Joshua Shinavier =20 _/ _/ _/ Loorenstrasse 74, Zimmer B321=20 _/ _/ _/_/_/_/ CH-8053 Z=FCrich =20 _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ Switzerland =20 _/_/_/_/ _/_/_/_/ _/_/_/_/ jshinavi@g26.ethz.ch Danov=EBn pages: http://www.geocities.com/Athens/Crete/5555/ven.htm
