Pidgins/creoles sometimes have *more* complexity in certain aspects than
the lexifier, especially after being used for a while, the best example
is Bislama [and other pidgins/creoles in the region] which has pronouns
like _yumitrifala_ (1st person inclusive trial), because, of course, the
local languages make those same distinctions. So, if the local
languages used a complex tense/aspect system, it might make sense that
Synthrax would do that with the lexifier's words.
