Some of these spelling variations have specialized uses: "lite" is used in
the sense of "easy", "thru" is seen on highway signs.

It didn't originally have any arrows: I needed the space for the Latin
Extended Additional characters. (Fontographer only supports 2,164
characters in a font, and L. E. A. wasn't part of its default Unicode
subset.) But the IPA needs a couple of arrows also, so I thought I might as
well add them. I hope no one needs the Box Drawing, Block Elements or
Geometric Characters....

I've never had much luck with Word and HTML.
