Actually, I'm proposing no vowels at all in Drushek.
The H, r, and x serve as pseudo-vowels for them. Both
rounded and unrounded versions of these serve as
vowel-like sounds, although this is only one of their
uses.
The vowels in the English renderings are pronounced
with voiced vowels.
As I mentioned, this is still very much a
work-in-progress. I've gotten a positive response, so
I'll keep everyone updated on progress. The weird,
voiceless phonology ups the ante on what kind of
exotic morphosyntax I have to come up with for it.
Any further critiques or suggestions are welcomed.
