I've had that urge before, to "fricatize" the language, giving a soft Frenc= h sound, but decided to concentrate the fricatization on specific words which that sound seems most appropriate for -- enhancing the general chamaeleon quality of the language -- passages of text about different subjects / writ= ten in different styles / having different general moods to them usually each h= ave a distinct phonetic character, e.g. lots of a's and k's and short vowels fo= r a violent conversation, l's and nasals and voiced fricatives and lots of lo= ng vowels for a more peaceful one.
