I have a wordlist of Icelandic linguistic terms somewhere.  I don't
remember if it is into English or into some Scandinavian language, but I
got a similar Swe-Eng list too, so that won't be a problem.  You can ask me
privately if you wonder about some term. Oskar.  I'll go digging for it ASAP...
(I bought it at the students bookshop at the Univerity of Iceland, R-vijk,
sometime in the late 80's (when I was there), but I think it should still
be available.  Maybe I can snail-mail or fax you a copy, if you are not on
Iceland.  I don't think anybody would mind if we samizdat it online either...

Perhaps because of the (alleged?) difficulty of incorporating foreign
vocabulary into a polysynthetic language?  That is anyways given as the
reason for such "dilexic" nature of such mixed languages as Michif.

Finnish has a lot of loan-translation too.  Unfortunately I have no
dictionary at hand.
