Yes most Swedish dialects diphthongize some or all long
vowels. The exact way differs though. The way Scanian
(Skånska) does it is very different, reminiscent of what
Icelandic, Faroese, Gutnish (Gotländska) and Ostrobothnian
(Österbotniska) did with primary long vowels, e.g. /a:/ >
/au)/, /e:/ > /ei)/, /E:/ > /ai)/, /y:/ > /ui)/.
Further north various kinds of centering/laxing diphthongs
are the rule, and most people aren't aware of it. Scanians
are very aware of their diphthongs.
