Esperantoids - sounds like some B-movie monster ("Victim of the
Esperantoids! Nothing could stop them...!) So the resemblance *is*
intentional then!
And I'd say to our welcome Indian member: even if Conlanging isn't big over
there, linguists themselves certainly have a lot to thank your culture for.
Look at Panini, who more or less created the study of linguistics!
