Sydney is in the state of New South Wales, major state of the East Coast;
Melbourne is in the state of Victoria, NSW's major rival;
Brisbane's in the state of Queensland, redneck territory (Brisbane River, too
thin to plow, too thick to drink!);
Adelaide is in the state of South Australia, the crow-eaters' state;
Hobart is in the state of Tasmania, the Apple Isle;
Perth is in the state of Western Australia, a long, long ways from anywhere
else;
and Darwin is in the Northern Territory, (formerly the Northern Territory of
South Australia before Federation and the establishment of the Commonwealth
of Australia the year before my mother's father Frederick Morgan Saville was
born in Mt Morgan, Queensland, then it gave the administration to the
Commonwealth Government) which has only just recently become a state of the
Australian Commonwealth.
While the Australian Capital Territory is now a self-governing territory, and
some ACT inhabitants are quite bemused and puzzled about the whole thing.
Talk about nostalgia! I spent some of my formative years in the ACT, and I
still love it!

You ask, "What is the most important thing?"
Maku e ki, "He tangata, he tangata, he tangata."
I reply, "It is people, it is people, it is people."
