In my conculture, attacked planets are usually offered the choice between
surrender or a nuclear bombardment. The Tairezazhen do consider themself to
be comparatively nice and humane, but that usually don't amount to more than
not specifically targeting civilian installations. If anybody is dumb enough
to place a city at the same continent as a military instalation that's their
problem.
