While my people, on the other hand, are a violent, ruthless, extremist
people. :-) During the Third Holy War, for instance, everyone who
wasn't killed in taking a city was sold into slavery. That is, in fact,
how they funded the war, they traded slaves to the Traderfolk for
mercenaries and air support. The Traderfolk maintain vast armies of
_ksata_, giant flying creatures, which can be used in war. Essentially
a biological air force. In later wars, they sterilized most of the
conquered population (which, to be fair, due to the biology of their
species, is easier and less brutal than for humans ... they only need to
be forced to take an overdose of the Root of Life, a natural
contraceptive). The sterilization was to allow their own race "breeding
room".
And they started out as such nice people when I began the conculture.
:-( I don't know how they became so violent! :-)
