Padraig Brown on tech and culture *there*:

Zeps seem to be very popular in alternative timelines; well, they are
the obvious examples of a nice technology which died an untimely death
which could have been avoided. And they are quiet and clean, much to
the liking of the Il`l.

Like good ole ARPANET...

Sure it is. Indeed, the environmentalist movement in Kemr is to a large
part an Elvish matter. It must have been a particularly hard struggle
to get the motorway to Tafrobl built. There was also much debate on it
in the city itself: business types wanted it, the Il`l were opposed to
it.

So there is an Italian-style north-south dichotomy; one can assume that
many Kernow move north to find better-paid jobs.
John Cowan on the same matter:

If it is about 1965-75 culturally as well, it is in the age of "love,
peace and music" and there is still hope that the spirit will linger
on. So if you go to Tafrobl these days you will find it crowded with
hippies from all over the world
on pilgrimage to meet the Il`l and partake in the groovy events on
Mertlad.

Pretty much the same what they are *here*, except that they are not
entirely independent. Possibly really under control of Lla Gos Nustr.

Surely, the Jews of Kemr mostly speak plain Brithenig; after all, we are
in western Europe where Jews usually speak the same language as the
goyim they live amongst.
