Interesting note: the IPA symbols for lateralized alveolar fricatives are different for disordered speech than normal speech: the sound of Welsh <ll> is "ls-ligature" for the former and "l-belt" for the latter. And how did the velar-pharyngeal fricative get the symbol "feng" (f-eng ligature) anyway? ~Danny~
