I installed WordNet and wrote scripts to web-ify it,
so it acts as a sort of nice online dictionary/thesaurus.
There isn't much hint of word frequency, though. For that:

So, I use one for frequency and the other for definitions and semantic
links. One can be more systematic than with a few random word lists.
Whatever its faults, English has lots of words to pick from ...
