Thanks much!  I was getting a headache trying to read Sally's
version.  I began to suspect corruption at 2:2 "natura erante",
which reading "errante" for "erante" gives the translation
"God is made man, a wandering nature" (!) instead of the
proper "mirante" (= to be wondered at).

Then came the bogus agent nouns "pertransitor" and "invenitor"
in stanza 3, which I was ready to put down to my ignorance of MedL,
but where were the verbs?  Of course they *are* the verbs,
"pertransitur" and "invenitur".

As for the Cockney presentation, it seems to be traditional to
sing Latin according to the national pronunciation of the singer
(German, Italian, French, Spanish, or what have you), so a
doubly vowel-shifted English version seems quite plausible.

But then I first understood this particular folk-rock group
to be the "Steel-Ice Band".
