(My memory is the opposite of yours, utterly lacking an
episodic component.)
I am curious as to what extent Hermetic has remained
unchanged, apart from simply being added to, since you
began it at age 13. If I think of other conlangs I know
that were begun at that age and then continued for decades
thereafter, they either underwent substantial revision
(the norm), or repeated total redesign (e.g. mine), or
accelerated naturalistic evolution (a rare case manifest
in the conlang of a friend I have known since 1980 when
I was 13). If Hermetic has remained stable it would be
unusual also in this respect.
BTW, Hermetic reminds of the conlang of --- argh the name
escapes me -- Tony Harris? (what was his conlang called?
It began with an A. Was covered with diacritics). He could
speak his conlang fluently, kept a diary in it, and also,
iirc, had pronounced religious interests. Very nice chap
who seems not to be around any longer. IIRC, Tony didn't
really understand how his language worked; he was a fluent
but naive native speaker. Precious to have conlangers
like that among us.
