Well, I'll try to make sure I don't read anything translated by this F. Ledoux in the future then ;))) . It's like this grip Philip K. Dick had about the German translator of his novel Ubik. In this book, each chapter is introduced with an advertisement slogan of very bad quality, the kind of slogans for miracle cures and the likes, but all those slogans are about Ubik. Except that at the beginning of the last chapter, instead of a slogan, Ubik talks itself, saying "I am the Word". Dick says that the German translator must have been extremely confused about that, since he translated it as (when retranslated in English): "I am the brandname"!!! And Dick goes on by saying that if that translator had had to translate the Old Testament, he would have begun saying "In the beginning was the brandname, and the brandname was with God, and the brandname was God" ;)))) . Christophe. http://rainbow.conlang.free.fr It takes a straight mind to create a twisted conlang.
