In fact, I'm beginning to wonder if this method wouldn't work well as a
sort of relay project. Someone creates a gloss of the first sentence
with no interlinear or explanation whatsoever. Someone else then
creates a gloss of the second sentence, likewise explanationless, but
which must be consistent with the first sentence (repeated concepts
should have recognizably repeated morphemes, e.g.). And so on. It
seems like this sort of group-creation project has been tried before,
but without the guidance provided by the McGuffey readers . . .
