You know, I don't know if Snoop is saying he invented this, but he didn't.
I recall
hearing it for the first time way back in 96, I think, not from Snoop, but
from this
other rap group. They had one popular song, they were all young (like 18),
and
they were never heard from again. Nevertheless, they have a section in the
middle
that has the "-izz" infix for every word at the end of the line. Maybe
somebody can
find the group since I remember some of the lyrics...
Something something pizzark (park)
Had to get home before dizzark (dark)
I guess that's not that much. Was the song "Aiisha"...? (Don't know about
the spelling
of that.) I'll look into to it after my ASL class.

My response (since I converted this from HTML to plain text and OE won't put
the little > things on the quoted text):
Oh the '-izz-' infix, which makes 'house' into 'hizzouse'. That's real old,
at least sometime before 1990. The rap you speak of is "Aisha", yes, it came
out in the early 90s, and the rappers were in their early teens or maybe
even preteens. Can't remember the name of the group though, or the lyrics.
I think it was Snoop who modified '-izz-' into the suffix '-izzle' though,
and anytime it's heard, it's automatically identified with Snoop Dogg.
What's the proper conlang-classification of Shizzle anyway? Slanglang?
Raplang? It's not a cipher like Al Bhed, and definitely not a true conlang.
I'd class it with Nadsat, maybe.
