Re: Very culture-specific noun classes...

I really like this! Very natlang. My next conlang (already in the pipeline;
very "consonantal" - i.e., ejectives, implosives, three-vowel system,
vaguely 'Pacific Northwest') will definitely feature classes - not just noun
classes, but adjective classes too. How much attention do you pay to
conculture-specific concepts, by the way? Omeina has (for instance) a strict
hierarchy of "naming" animates - people/"presences"/certain animals and
plants/"Ilma" (bright stars) that a speaker ignores at his peril. A person,
for instance, will have one of four or five names, depending on who they are
addressing or being addressed by, or who named them, and for what reason.
